Chris' Experience

We hadn't even started investigating and things were already happening! As we drove up to the building I was amazed at how big it was. I was excited to get inside and start investigating. As we grabbed our equipment and walked alongside the building I started to feel a terrible pain in my chest and back. It made it hard to breath. When we arrived at the former laundry room turned welcome center I was really worried. The pain was not getting better. I used my inhaler even though it did not feel like an asthma attack; it didn't help one bit. I was worried that I would not be able to climb the stairs and wander the halls of this 5 story 800,000 square foot building. I took out my equipment and sat down to rest and relax hoping to feel better. There was an orientation film that we watched and the owner talked to us. Forty five minutes went by and I was still in terrible pain and breathing was not getting any easier. We would be starting our investigation soon, and I just couldn't do it feeling like this. An hour had passed and we were ready to go, and the pain was gone. Just like that, I realized I could breath and move with no pain!

During our first break I spoke with the owner of the property. I told her about my chest and back pain and how it started and cleared up so fast. She said that sometimes the spirits will latch on to someone and that person will feel what the spirit had felt in life. Was this a former patient communicating with me?

Razz's Experience

On the 5th floor there are 2 areas on the roof that are open to the outside. We were on the side of the roof without the swingset. Everyone had left but I stayed out by myself for a few more minutes. Diane waited inside for me, the rest of the team was further inside the building. Crossing the threshold I kicked something, I asked Diane what I had kicked and she said a small ball. Then someone whispered in my ear "Go get it". This was a very clear whisper next to my ear, as if someone was standing right beside me. It sounded like a young child around the age of 7. I asked Diane if she or anyone else had said anything and she said "No".

Chris' Experience

It was getting close to the end of the night. We were walking in one of the hallways heading back to the meeting room. I was wearing my equipment vest, on the back is a mesh pocket. In the pocket I had 2 small balls and a water bottle. I felt someone hit one of the balls hard. When I turned around there was no one there, I was bringing up the rear. My guess was that it could have been one of the patients, possibly a child trying to get the ball out of my vest pocket.
